Defending PreK, Libraries and Rec Centers In Harrisburg

As you may have read in the news, state lawmakers in Harrisburg are fighting Philly’s plans for pre-K expansion and the rebuilding of our recreation centers and libraries. At issue, is Philly’s sweetened beverage tax that they want to block. Join us in Harrisburg on Tuesday, May 22nd and urge state lawmakers to continue Philadelphia’s forward progress in expanding pre-K and the vital repair and rebuilding of our rec centers and libraries. Bus will leave 1709 Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia (in front of the United Way Building) at 8am and return approximately 4:00pm. There is no charge for the bus – please plan to arrive by 7:30am – bus will depart promptly at 8am!
